Janet and Wendy have built KMC out of a love for teaching children and enjoyment of watching them blossom with musical experiences.
They have extensive teaching experience in the last 20 years in primary schools, early childhood centres and the private studio. Their original music sells around the world, and they are in demand to run workshops for teachers and parents. Wendy and Janet are heavily involved in Orff music teaching and are leaders in their field.
Our workshops will help teachers appreciate that music can be used as a valuable teaching tool for whole body learning and development. The songs are cross-referenced to the curriculum, saving teachers time, and helping with their planning.
Our CD range covers three main areas: 'Sing, Move and Play' Collections, Instrumental Collections, and Choral Collections.
Each album in this range have songs for singing, listening, playing instruments and moving (both creatively and in set formation). Lots of whole body activities to develop many other areas of learning - all while having fun! These CDs and Teacher Books have been developed for the generalist classroom teacher who wants to teach music but doesn't necessarily know where to start.
The Teacher's Books for our Instrumental range are user-friendly. Each song has a sequence of teaching steps that are easy to follow. We have used quality backings, as accompaniments, with "live musicians", so children feel as though the whole thing is a "live experience" and they are producing "real music".
These wonderful albums contain a range of well known songs for school choirs or general classroom singing. The accompanying CD has vocal tracks plus backing tracks for performance situations. The Choral Book has all the harmony parts written out for the teacher. This means that everything you need is provided. The teacher doesn't have to be able to play an instrument as quality backing tracks are provided for that purpose.
