Teacher's Workshops » 2011 Catch Up
If you missed the workshops last year you missed some fabulous new material. Here is a chance to catch up. This workshop will source music from the following new collections:
Swing This Way
The first three years of a child's life is a time of phenomenal brain growth.
This collection of new songs will give you many ideas to share with children aged 2-3 including songs for body awareness and vestibular stimulation.
Songs selected will be suitable for a preschool setting.
Stay and Play
This album recently won a gold award in the United Kingdom. It is filled with easily accessible learning for little ones. From healthy lunches and bathroom hygiene to traffic lights and turtles; the topics help children understand their world and have fun in the process.
We work on balance, gross motor skills, crossing our mid-lines and developing language and singing.
Mango Tango
Helping kids develop co-ordination can be heaps of fun. We co-ordinate the left and right sides of the body in crazy ways to help children cross all their mid-lines. Mid-line development helps children integrate their left and right brain hemispheres in readiness for formal learning. Draw circles and squares with your elbow or your toe, cook breakfast for a giant, or dance with your shadow. Fun topics and great musical arrangements that make learning a breeze.
Janet Channon and Wendy Jensen began Kids Music Company in 1989. Thousands of children have attended weekly sessions of music over the years. Their huge catalogue of purpose built music for specific early learning has gained international acclaim, winning top awards in the United Kingdom's Practical Preschool Awards for the last 8 years running. Wendy and Janet's music is keenly sought by children, teachers and parents alike. Janet has run countless workshops for parents, teachers and teacher training institutions in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
